Welcome to Brassgate Kennels! We are located in Katy, Texas near Houston since 1998. My first dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from Red Oak Kennels, owned by Hazel Arnold. She was a pioneer in the breed, and a mentor to me. She has since passed. May God Bless and be with her. I strive to live up to her standards and beyond.
I finished my first cavalier and went on to finish many more. My first cavalier litter arrived in 2000, and from that litter my first home bred champion, "Brassgate Demeter". I've shown many different breeds, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Bulldog, Borzoi, Papillon, and of course, Cavaliers.
I became interested in the borzoi and spoke with Richard Terry and Rita Rice. I acquired my first borzoi from Aria Borzoi and finished her. My second borzoi came from Aria as well, who is currently coursing. My first litter arrived in October 08' and will be showing and coursing a male from that litter, Brassgate Malachite "Arthur".
My first priority is the health and happiness of my dogs, because to me they are family.
